Jazz Lead Sheet and Chart Writing Services

Lead Sheet and Chart Writing Services

Your Owe It To Yourself

Let's say that you're on a gig and you have a new bassist who's unfamiliar with your music but can sightread anything.

If you have a good book of charts, jazz or otherwise, that your musicians can sight read, then you're covered. The biggest pitfall for people who hire sidemen is not having easy to sight read charts or lead sheets.

On the other hand, if you're one of the many people who have a stack of hand-written lead sheets that you know are hard to read or confusing in some way, you are limiting the success of your music because any kind of confusion or question in the chart is going to take your rhythm section players out of the groove.

Prices

The cost for chart writing services is $20 for a song on one page and additional pages for the same song are $10 each. The price for larger, multiple, or more complex projects can be negotiated.

The price includes charts for C, Bb, and Eb instruments in the style of your choice (classical, jazz, handwritten, etc...)Upon request, I can often provide a chart with guitar chord symbols as well. All of your charts are on file if you need to edit them at a future time. Edits are normally $5 a page. All fees must be paid up front. My work is 100% guaranteed with a full refund if you are not satisfied.

Expertise

I started making lead sheets and charts in the mid 80's at the UW and haven't stopped since. I've written charts for dozens of vocalists I've worked with, I've made lead sheets out of orchestra scores, and I've made charts on napkins during set breaks. I do lead sheet and chart work fast and accurately and will always work with you to get it right.
